Of Honour and Reverence.
Fifth to be created, and third most powerful,
Created Kascas, the realm
of Hell, which he is Lord over.
Undead, and Demon-kind are under his command.
Nanqa materialized in the same instance as his twin Reinn Anon,
he
personified the Dreamer's Horror, and Desire at all Possibility.
Not a benevolent deity, Nanqa is even-handed, combining honor with
dedicated self-interest.
He does not
seek power so much as balance, without darkness there would be no light.
Without evil there would be no measure of good. Respect
the concepts of self-discipline, and honor.
Nanqa was drawn to terrible extremes, and violence in the beginnings, learning of
his powers,
and he made grave mistakes for which he has been punished for, far too long now.
Banished out,
and deep into the Void from whence he had once emerged, Nanqa, in effort to keep
his sanity,
had to come to an understanding of the inherent emptiness of all
existence. Alone in a place of no sight, or sound,
Nanqa gave up the
ability to ever form a physical body of his own again, merging with the Void.
Deep in the Void, he was unable to have life's experiences, and consequently
could not grow, or mature.
The Royal bloodline of the Royalian Empire began
through Nanqa's Fallen Archangel,
Taedras' blood, making them scions of Darkness.
He expects loyalty from his
peoples, punishing disloyalty and treachery with a swift, yet merciful death.
Nanqa has not set down laws or ethics for his people beyond the Dreamer's one law;
'Love fulfills the Heart.'
The Royalians will define their own terms, and
ethics to live by, whether anyone else likes it or not.
Nanqa is respected, revered, honored, and propitiated,
but never feared by the Royalians, as his people know to be humble.
The
intermediary of Nanqa, the Fallen Archangel Taedras, has made the very land of the
Royalian Empire feed upon the blood
owed to the Prince of Honour. If one
murders, they too will be murdered. If one
rapes, the land shall rape them in turn.
The people live by the principle of, 'Blood for blood,'
as the terrene feeds upon the blood of just and unjust alike.
The
Bringer of Darkness created Kazcas, (Hell,)
as a realm to redeem the wicked in the eyes of Reinn Anon
so that they would be worthy of Alasse Cir, (Paradise.) It is, after-all only
personal belief
that sends one to Hell.
Necromancers/Liches gain their power from Nanqa
to use the darkness, and raise the dead.
Unable to interact with his people,
Nanqa's Fallen, and Demons live among, and beside his people.
The
Royalians do perform sacrifices in their deity's name. The first child of the
noble, and royal caste
are killed at birth, for they hold within the Lord's Mana; this
showing duty, and self sacrifice to the people.
All other Royalian
citizens, men & women, will be trained in warfare so that they may someday serve
the Kingdom, and Nanqa in undeath. This military service may only occur once they have
been
called
upon to kill themselves through cultural ritual by their King.
